Session 4: The Pyramid of the Sun

This is a big milestone for me! I finally got my homestead, my Red Barn Farm!

The Creators were having a big sale at the Crown Shop on packs so I blew 1200 Crowns on their packs, but got nothing great except for treasure cards and seeds. They gave me a free pack as thanks for purchasing with them, but now everyone has less Crowns to stitch...

And we'll need to stitch a LOT as the hats I got look hideous as sin! I mean, I could die in public wearing a hat like this! But I did get a beautiful glowing spear which I decided would be my signature weapon. It's just too cool! Amber, my pen pal, says she has a sword like that but the Creator made her put it away for a thorn sword until she got her 'Grandmaster Wand.' Whatever.

(Yeah, I blew a ton of Crowns on packs on sale for Pack-a-Palooza, and now I have 1906 Crowns because I used 200 to stitch a nice hat I got which gives her more health and a Thermic Shield into her hat and these crimson boots of sin, which give her good health and a free Elemental Shield, into her choice clodhoppers. She also got the Skyvern Hoard pack and Grace got the Pharaoh's Hoard pack as a free gift although Sierra didn't get her gift until I logged out and logged back in.

This is why I am trying to be frugal with Crowns - it's too tempting to blow every single Crown when you get 10000. *sigh*)

I felt bad that I couldn't help this nice wizard who had been knocked unconscious by the Nirinis but I didn't have any heal spells for her. I decided to start using my training points to train in Life magic so I could use Satyr and heal others.

(After I used a sequence break with Rachel Soulpyre to get her to Niles to learn Spirit Trap with the training point she got from the Smiths scavenger hunt, I used the one she got at Level 20 to learn Imp and start down the Life magic to Satyr. Yes, she won't get Feint but I have a few wizards on my main account(including Mindy Goldheart, a fellow Conjurer, who can used Feint so it's not a big deal when she teams up with my main account for boss battles. She will learn Feint but not until after getting Satyr.)

Grace is a great best friend, she supports me and tells me that it's not easy being a wizard who only has self-healing spells. We work apart time to time to catch up on quests - it seems every Mander in Krokotopia wants something. I helped Tinu Bhak'mal get a flame gem for his necklace and returning his late library book sent me on a whirlwind of adventures to learn the history of the Manders. It was very exciting even if it was a chore at times.

(I've been trying to keep Grace and Sierra at the same level of experience but later Grace got called by one of her friends and had to help that person with the second half of the Temple of Storms, givng her the initial experience and shooting her to Level 20 after the Test of Battle. Sheesh, I know it's our job to help newbies but did she have to demand our help defeating Krokopatra? [Oh, and I found out that the Hero of Krokotopia badge is gained by beating Krokopatra and you don't have to do any other things as Grace got it after the battle... long before she reached Krokopatra in her own story.])

Grace had to leave to do her next spell test for her own Professor, that frog guy Halston. He is a bit eccentric(all inventors are!) but Grace told me that she could summon a minion now too, a water elemental that can draw 'hate' from us and distract foes so we don't get targeted as much...

I was sick with worry as Chris Dragonwhisper, another pen pal, told me he took those tests! Grace admitted she was defeated by the two Krakens she had to fight(stupid Sirens fizzled at the critical point) but she picked herself up and went back and beat them with Storm Sharks.

(That's the beauty of Storm - there's a 30% chance that you'll be wiped out because your turn-around fizzles, but if it doesn't...)

(You WILL kill your enemy.) ^_^

I have started a small garden and have planted all the seeds I got from Farley as well as a few that were donated to me, a Honeysickle and a Pink Dandelion. I accidentally bought two more gnomes, but that's okay, that will save me money later on when I start my real gardens. For now, I need to garden to get levels in gardening so I can start planting the snack plants like Couch Potatoes.

(Sierra got her first Fossil by luck and chance! That's awesome, that means one less Fossil for when she eventually has to make those cursed Spirit Drums!)

A fellow Conjurer called Mindy Goldheart told me she would help me defeat Grubb to prove he exists. The ghosts were tough - since they were Myth - but Mindy summoned a gross frog that puked over everyone and killed them! I then realized that I would have to summon that gross thing! Ew! But if it ends battles quickly, I have to swallow my pride and go with it.

Still, the battle with Grubb was tough... especially since one of the Scarecrows decided to pick on me and beat me to an inch of my life, ow!

(Yeah, the left Living Scarecrow ignored all the signs that Mindy was sending to attack her and cast all his spells on Sierra instead, dropping her to less than 400 health. OWWWW!)

I sympathize with Maria, who had to face Sunken City to prove that Grubb existed, because the report was for my professor, and I know from experience he is a big dou--(Oh my, my language is foul! Sorry! <_>), but although I admit I was pleased to see Professor Drake stammer in shock and reverse his former grade on Maria's report when I brandished Grubb's medallion, which is forever around my neck as a symbol of great trial and victory(I cleaned it up first, ew!), I respect him for despite his attempts to drive me away, we are starting to forge a good relationship. If he wants to be stubborn, I'll match him halfway and be just as big a mule! ^_^

But until then... more Potion Motion so I don't have to pay Ms. Brewer. (sigh)

Current Level: 20
Current Progress: Completed everything up to the Palace of Fire and got all of the quests there but have not completed them yet.
