I also have to read off this list the Creator gave me which helps crafters a lot regardless of if you are crafting a house or a spell. Ahem...
"One, get a subscription or pre-paid time! I know you Crowns Players get to buy every world for a lot of Crowns, but one of the benefits of being a subscriber that I discovered to my joy, well two, are a bigger backpack to hold all your items(and you will need a lot of room for the craftable items!) and a cut in cool-down time for crafting by half. This is VITAL if you want your crafted houses NOW as some of the items you need to craft your house will be items you must craft!"
"Two, there are places you can farm for stuff like Stone Block, and I will put the farmable areas in a future post. But if you are rich and a spend-thrift, the bazaar may have some of the items. Amber found both of her Cephalod Obelisks for her future Wyrd House in the bazaar. Be aware it will be costly and may not show up all the time, so spend wisely!"
"Finally, don't try to do it all at once. Do some quests while waiting for the cool-down time to run out. Wizard101 isn't just about crafting!"
Okay, that's out of the way, so let me show you what I started off on:
First off, aside from the few items you need for reagents for the Hall (Ghost Fire and Blizzard Treasure Cards), everything else you need MUST be crafted. I'll tell you about the recipe and where you need to craft your house - you can't just craft it on a normal crafting table, uh uh! ^_^
First, you will need 30 Stacks of Wood Planks. You can make these on the Basic Crafting Table you get for free by doing the "Wizards in the Mist" side-quest given by Gloria Tangletree in Olde Town. Gloria Tangletree will also give you a Novice Crafter badge if you pass her test, which you need to create this item. You need, for all 30 stacks, this shopping list of reagents.
- 90 Black Coal
- 30 Simple Vials
- 180 Mist Wood
It's a good idea to complete Wul'yahm's first test to learn how to make two items at once, as it will take 12-24 minutes(depending on whether you have a sub or not) cool-down, so you will be crafting for 6-12 hours, tops! Don't try to do it all at once. (If you complete Toshio's first quest, you get through this part faster as you get three crafting slots.)
Next time we discuss this will be when I get the next crafted reagent, sayonara! ^_^
