(I do not like the Grand Arena much more than the Hall of Champions, but at least the quests are tolerable. Not Ako's side quest, it's easy. But the main quests are Kill mooks, Kill boss, rinse and repeat to the end, and they don't force you to fight enemies between Itennu and Khai Amahte.)
And what that sick frog can't kill, Grace's big scaly freak of nature does. ^_^
(Sadly, I found that the Arena Battles have to be done solo - when I sent both girls in they were forced to fight without helping each other in two solo battles, which really sucks as Grace hasn't got the stamina and Sierra doesn't have the defenses. Grace had to flee her first battle against the Sunbird as it did a lot of damage to her and put tons of Weakness.)
We eventually fought Khai Amahte the Great, and was he a tough one! But at least we fought him together, and that's what counts. (We also got a summons from Headmaster Ambrose, but that's another story which we did after recruiting Khai Amahte.)
He was a bit distraught after we creamed him but Grace spoke up. "Rra," she said politely.
"Why bother with him?" I was surprised when her pet talked in the same accent. "We should leave him to mope like the fish he is!"
"Ee, no," said Grace firmly. "We need his aid in fighting the Tuts."
"What? The Tuts are awake?!" said Khai in shock. "Forgive me, I've been trying to recapture my lost glory and my comrades have been at risk. I see now that the Great Sleep was no defeat but a stalemate!" He agreed to arrange a revolt in the arena to get an army and we went back to Shalek.
(Poor Sierra, she was creamed a lot by the enemies. I had to break my vow of frugality to get her better armor so she could survive. The next part is a break off from the action in Krok... and it's a little bit of artistic license by me, he he. Both of them hit Level 25 after getting to Khai and triggered the events that lead to Wysteria.)
