Christina began to mutter something silly, a type of poem: (All credits to Lewis Carroll who created this monster.)
‘Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.
“Beware the Jabberwock, my son
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!”
He took his vorpal sword in hand;
Long time the manxome foe he sought—
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought.
And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!
One, two! One, two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.
“And hast thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!”
He chortled in his joy.
‘Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.
(This ugly dragon is an EVIL gimmick boss. You thought BELLOQ was bad with his priority Ra? This is WORSE. Every third turn, he gets off a priority Meteor Strike which has does 1800 base damage! The bright side? He then gets trapped with a Hex that increases damage of the attack that busts it by TRIPLE. However, at the end of every even turn, he dispels ALL traps on himself! The only blessing other than that is that you CAN Fire Shield and should if you do not want to die in one shot! However, he comes with a Formori Giant [who will Quake off your blades] and, if you come in with three people or more, two Cursed Spirits. So yeah, this is one of the hardest battles in Wizard101, and you HAVE to win it to continue your adventures. *shakes fist in rage* Grace needed Christina's help to defeat this boss but it can be done - she even managed to one-shot the Storm Elemental with a resisted Sirens. So yeah, we're past the halfway point of Avalon and the second hardest boss in that world. The hardest won't be for a long time.)
"I'm sorry, carrot fairy," murmured Christina. We were aghast.
"Saint Agnes?" I whispered.
"You know my name," chuckled Christina.
(Great way to ruin the shot, overhead title that I failed to un-mouse over. :( ) |
I wept and hugged her, then slapped her cheek hard. "Don't EVER do that again!" I wailed. "You don't know how ill I was with worry! You running off on adventures without us..."
"I know, I know," said Christina, scuffing her foot in the dirt. "To be honest, I wasn't insane or that sort of thing... I was putting on an act in front of you out of shame... I couldn't... face you... after my failure..."
Grace hugged her. "Do not punish yourself, Mma. You could do nothing to stop Morganthe."
"Yeah, I doubt all of us together could stop her from reclaiming her Deck of Shadows," I said. "She had been so far ahead of us, I knew she would win. You tried to stop the mirror from breaking, but Inyanga told us that prophecy WILL be fulfilled one way or another."
"Still, I wanted to try..." muttered Christina. "I confronted the Headmaster and he sent me to Emperor Yoshihito, and I did fight that Jade Oni and read the scrolls of light, and then I talked to Ambrose and he told me about the Sword of Kings so I got the key from Gamma..."
We explained about what had happened and Christina went wide-eyed and slapped herself. "Stupid stupid stupid! Here I was hunting the Sword of Kings and you almost got killed by Morgie, Grace! I am so stupid!"
"Rra Ambrose banished her and has tripled the magical wards," said Grace. "She will not get back into Wizard City that easily."
"Look, Chris," I said. "I understand how you feel, and yes, the Sword of Kings is the weapon that rivals that evil deck, BUT we are a team. You don't know how hard it was to fight those enemies without you by our side!"
"You don't know how hard it was to go solo!" laughed Christina. "I was begging on the roads for other students to aid me, and one guy called Cameron Nighthunter helped me out in Caer Lyon... but then he tried to ask me to be his girlfriend and I was disgusted. I explained who I really was and about you and all that... and he called me a lesbian and locked me out of his wavelength! Rude!"
I laughed. "Well, next time, be sure to tell people that you don't date fellow students. It'll make things a lot easier."
(I apologize for villianizing Cameron Nighthunter, he was one of the players who helped Christina solo some parts of this world, but when I told him I was really a guy, he said it wasn't right so I put him on Ignore. I'm sorry because his 'hitting on me' was a prank a friend of his pulled on him so he pulled it on me. Still, I am upset because he is one of those men who is disgusted by guys playing as girls. I am sorry. You have a right to your opinion, but I don't like it when it ruins an experience. I really wish people would understand that this is not an online dating site, it is a G-rated MMORPG. Even KI knows that, they have censor filters to filter out profanities and words relating to sex. If you want to pretend to marry other players, fine with me. JUST DO NOT HIT ON MY CHARACTERS, if I wanted to have a romantic relationship, I would go onto match.com or some other dating site. /RANT)
"I'm sorry, guys," said Christina. "Can you forgive me?"
"Yes," I sobbed, hugging her again. Grace hugged us in a group hug."Just promise you'll rejoin us and we'll look for the Sword of Kings together."
"Sure thing, carrot fairy," laughed Christina. "But first... I need to get my hair restyled. My hair is a stupid mess."
"Saint Agnes is no more, Christina Dawnblade, Archmage Sorcerer, is back!" I was so glad to hear those words when we returned to her house and saw her hair back to its old style.
[To be continued...]
(Since this part was short, I wanted to show this off - Grace and Sierra hit Level 80 shortly hereafter and were able to complete the B.O.X.E.S event, getting the Time Weaver badge. I'll try to remember to put that part up.)
