A Long Time Coming (The Mystery B.O.X. event #5)

(As is said on the box. I apologize for not giving the final B.O.X.E.S. instance, which you get in Avalon if you are an Archmage or higher in rank[Level 80+], until AFTER the event ended, but I didn't know how to present it. It's the most boring of the five instances in my honest opinion - mainly because it's the toughest. The toughest enemy is the final boss, who had 70 more health than freaking Poseidon Earth-Shaker!!! But, as I promised, here you go. I hope they reinstate it next year as it would be awesome.)

I promised to prove my love to you, my beloved princess, and I will. (Honestly wish he wouldn't use sappy love language with me. I do love him but... he's insufferable. How can he hope to gain the power of an Archmagus in the time we have? Wait, what's this?)

(It can't be! O_O) I met this chap in Regent's Square called The Professor. I told him about how I was in love with you and when he heard your name, he said "Well, you're a lucky man, Ethan. That girl you want to woo is a hero! Without her help, Ravenwood would have never existed and you would have never met her!" He invited me inside his B.O.X. to explain.

He told me about how you and your friends helped Professor Falmea become the Fire school teacher, how you alone rescued Grace's future teacher, Professor Balestrom, from a horrible fate of life in jail as well as got Dworgyn - that old hunchback - out of life of slavery to bug-people and into the school as Malistaire's assistant, and how you and Grace went to a pirate world and rescued some pirates from golem-men like the Gearheads. You are amazing and he's right, I am a lucky man! (BLUSH)

But there was one more incident he had to deal with, and some girl called Saint Agnes Oblique offered to take it on - she and a pyromancer friend managed to fix history so Malistaire, his wife, and his brother would enroll in Ravenwood. This Maestro fiend changed history...

And get this, those three were born natives of Dragonspyre! (I was a bit shocked by this but then again, only Merle and Gamma knew the back-story behind Malistaire and his family. I realized that the death of everyone in Dragonspyre was a lot more recent than I had thought.)

Oh, and if your Professor EVER gives you grief, show him this photo the Professor gave me... I think he would rather DIE than let anyone know he had an afro. ^_^ (I saw the photo and laughed but put it away - I wasn't going to threaten poor Cy with THAT! I bet that's why he's so dour all the time!)

I also learned from the Professor that Saint Agnes helped put down Sylvia, who had become the head of the Dragonspyre Army in one month! It turns out Mr. Maestro had been hypnotizing her and pulling strings to get her interred in the position of "Grand General" and spread propoganda that Wizard City was evil and needed to be destroyed. (I nearly died - The Maestro must hate Ravenwood with a passion if he went to this extreme!)

The Professor told me how it happened - Saint Agnes and her friend dueled this character called the Loremaster for Cyrus and Malistaire's deck - he showed me a photo, and she looks freaky. I wonder if she's a ghost too. (I smiled - I recalled dueling the Loremaster, but I never knew what it would have been to meet her before her death.) (The Loremaster in life has over 13000 health and is Myth, so expect to lose your blades to Earthquake. She is accompanied by at least one Battle Mage, who has 4320 HP and is Storm. Ouch.)

The two, with the help of the Drake brothers, snuck into the Command Academy but got the cold shoulder from Sylvia Spitfire(I was surprised to learn about Sylvia Drake's maiden name) and had to fight more mages...

The Professor said they use this variant of Efreet which is Myth... you should get this spell, it plants myth traps on the enemy! Anyways, the pyro took them down with Fire Dragon. (Basically a carbon copy of the last battle. The Efreet in the picture is the Myth-variant, which doesn't place a negative charm - it places two Myth Traps that stack with normal ones. Very useful for a Basilisk deck. The animation for the Myth and Balance Efreet are different but there is a Storm Efreet which uses the same Efreet animation.)

The group - after sneaking past the many guards with the B.O.X. and taking out some guards, confronted the Maestro and were forced to fight Sylvia and more guards. The battle was long and hard but they won. (The Maestro returns with 20070 health and his Fire element. Sylvia has 14380 health and is ALSO Fire... scary, huh? Well, guess what? Mr. Maestro follows the rules of the first arc - he starts with a single pip and despite being Rank 12, his strongest spell is what you see, Fire Wyvern. Yep, he is as threatening as Krokohamen. Sylvia, on the other hand, isn't afraid to use Efreet, Fire Dragon and - if you let her get enough pips - Rain of Fire. They are flanked by two Draconian Guards, which have 4200 HP and are Balance, which sucks. Lots of healing is necessary if you did what Christina did and only went in with one person.)

The Maestro fled into a closet which vanished into thin air and Sylvia's spell was broken, and everyone was reunited. The Professor praised Saint Agnes and she said something...

"No, I am not Saint Agnes anymore. I am just Christina Dawnblade, and I was being a fool like Sylvia. I was trying to be someone brave when I had let my friends down, pushing them away instead of asking their succor. I will go back to them and apologize for my actions and hope they forgive me."

(I held back tears. Christina...)

And I told the Professor I wanted to be worthy of you so I asked him if there was a parallel world where you hadn't saved the day, and could I go to the time when Meowiarty stole the Krokonomicon. He agreed but warned me that influencing the past was a dangerous task. I fully accept the results of my actions and promise to help this world out. Wish me luck, and I'll return to this world when I am capable to going to Avalon.

Your eternal lover, Ethan Jadeshade  XOXOXOX

I wanted to cry but I wiped my eyes. "Good luck," I whispered. "In the meantime, I'll do my best to find the Sword of Kings."

  1. The recent BOX event fixed the situation with the Maestro fight - this time he fights properly and uses all of the high level Fire spells, so be very careful.
