On To Dragonspyre! (Mooshu - Finale)

(I had to cut and paste all of the text due to my computer lag-spiking while typing in the blog)

We briefly spoke with the monk Tek Leng and headed into the palace, only to find a terrifying sight!

Christina was there fighting a green Oni!

She spotted us and screamed in horror. "GET OUT OF HERE, YOU TWO! THIS GUY WAS POSSESSING THE EMPEROR!"

The Oni turned to us, too late. We had been spotted. "So, you have been strong enough to defeat my sons, Sierra... but you were a fool to think I would give us this shell so easily. Defeating my sons has only made me stronger! This land is mine!"

I made a very rude gesture. "You're joining your kids, freak!"

Christina groaned. "You two love to get into danger, don't you? Fine, let me at least aid you!"

The three of us teamed up and brought down the Jade Oni. I led the strike with my enraged Ninja Pigs, who were furious for being tainted by these evil demons, Christina launched her Justice against the thing, and Grace unleashed the fury of the Storm Titan to finish him off. He let out a cry of despair and crumbled into dust. (Note: You can come back after you enter Dragonspyre and talk to the Jade Champion, then examine the obelisk to re-summon this guy and fight him. He has some rare drops including a pet egg of a mini-me of himself. ^_^ Oh yeah, did I mention this guys has 7500 health? Yeah, only Jotun, his kin and Malistaire top that in the first arc.)

"Wow, you guys are much stronger than before," said Christina. "I could use your help in Dragonspyre. But what are you doing here?"

"Healing the Emperor, nitwit," I said. "What are YOU doing here?"

"Same," said Christina. "Hey, I managed to seal that Jade freak in that lamp so he can't escape. Well, I guess I should let you two handle it."

I placed the sword by the Emperor's side, poured the pure water over his dark wound which hissed as the darkness faded, and fed him the fruit. He glowed and sat up, taking his sword. "What..." He saw my face. "You have saved me. Tell me your name."

"Sierra," I said, bowing low.

"No, you need not be formal with me, Wizard," said the Emperor as he stood. I took my place besides my friends as the Jade Champion climbed up the stairs. "You and your friends have brought me back from death and for that I am grateful." He bowed honorably.

"It is a shame we could not recover the key," I said, bowing low again.

"You can use---" Christina began to say before the Jade Champion pressed something into my hands...

I gaped. The key to Dragonspyre!

"I chased that foul wizard to the Gate," said the Champion. "And attacked him with my blade, knocking the key to the ground as he entered the door. I was not able to stop him but I did recover the key, and so my shame has been redeemed. I could not protect the Emperor but I did protect the key. It is much safer in your hands, Sierra."

I sighed. We had hope. "Arigatou."

"Please talk to my old friend Merle Ambrose," said Yoshihito. "It is with regret that I had to refuse his invitation to teach at Ravenwood."

I lit up and nodded. "Sayonaro, your Imperial Majesty."

"Before you go, visit the shrine near the Water Dojo," said the Emperor. "I was visited by a nature spirit called Oakheart who wishes to thank you for all you did for Mooshu."

We said our farewells to Oakheart, Wavebringer and Mossback, who we helped. They gave us gifts and I felt very happy - even if I hadn't stopped Malistaire, I would stop him eventually. (If you did all the quests for these three from the Cave to the Tree, you will get a lot of experience and some stuff. This pushed Sierra to Level 47! Woo! One more level before her final first arc spell quest! ^_^)

We returned to Wizard City, all three of us, and met with the Headmaster. He expressed his concerns.

'I'm talking to Professor Cyrus," I said, hurrying to Ravenwood. "He's Malistaire's brother, he would know what to do!"

I had a feeling Cy wouldn't want to help but he gave me an odd look. "Meet me in the Myth Tower and we'll discuss strategy."

He blasted me when I entered and told me why. "Bring it," I said, eager to punish him for all those insults he threw at me and the errand girl task he made me do... as well as that note trying to get me expelled! He was going to feel the PAIN.

After a long hard battle, I unleashed my secret weapon and Cy's jaw drop as the ninja pigs slashed him. "Enough, I have seen enough. Come back to my classroom."

(You know your luck sucks when you have to waste some good Balanceblades on a weak resisted Pigs - my Myth Prisms had hit the bottom of my deck and Sierra took a lot of damage. Also, never saw Cyrus do a wand attack until now, it's awesome. He did it twice while I was struggling. Grace had a bit of problem until she bought a cruddy lightning wand to break the shields.)

"You learned a spell I have never seen before, Sierra," said Cyrus, nodding sullenly. "But Malistaire is far more powerful than I am. You will need my help to defeat him. Meet me in Dragonspyre."

I sighed as he teleported away. "Still treats me like a kid. I wonder if Grace can go... I'll check."

I found her in her office with a copy of the key on her desk. She smiled. "Yes, Merle was given approval by Rra Drake to let me have a copy of the Dragonspyre Key. Christina duplicated hers."

"That's great news!" I cried.

"First, a tea break," she said. "We must fill up on red tea before we go."

Penny sighed. "She and her tea, but it's true, tea relaxes our nerves and we know nothing about our next adventures."

"I've done a lot of exploring of that world," said Christina, propping her feet up on a chair. "But it's dark and deadly. I'll try to meet you in the Basilica. It's a ruined tower that I'm sure old Mal won't notice."

We nodded.

It was time to bring the fight to Malistaire.
